In-Person Oral Public Comment
Attend the meeting at the listed location. Complete a speaker card or follow the instructions announced at the meeting. When called, approach the podium and provide your comments.
Remote Oral Public Comment

When the item is open for public comment, use the “Raise Hand” feature. When called, unmute your microphone and provide your comments.
Public Meeting Process
The City Council conducts public meetings in accordance with the Ralph M. Brown Act. Regular meeting agendas are posted online at least 72 hours before the meeting. Members of the public may attend meetings in person, watch online, and provide public comment.
City Council Actions
Ordinances are laws adopted by the City Council which usually amend the Municipal Code. Most ordinances appear on two consecutive City Council agendas for an introduction at the first meeting followed by adoption at the second meeting. Most ordinances become effective 30 days after adoption.
Resolutions express decisions, opinions or actions by the City Council but do not amend the Municipal Code or other City laws.
Appointments are made to various Boards and Commissions by the City Council.
