School is out, and the fun is just beginning! The City of Pittsburg is excited to announce an action-packed lineup of summer programs, camps, workshops, sports, movies, and aquatic activities designed to keep children active, engaged, and create unforgettable memories all season long. From exciting day camps and creative AI workshops to family celebrations, soccer, flag football, movies, and swimming, there is something for everyone this summer. Marina Center Kids Day Camp June 8 – July 17 Monday–Friday | 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM Marina Center, 51 Marina Blvd. Ages 5–12 | $200 per week Children will enjoy exciting games, arts and crafts, recreational activities, and memorable summer adventures in a safe and welcoming environment.
Youth AI Workshop June 13 | 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM Marina Center, 51 Marina Blvd. Ages 8–14 | $15 In partnership with Sparkologie, this hands-on workshop introduces youth to the exciting world of Artificial Intelligence through creativity, innovation, and interactive learning experiences.
Aventuras en Español June 15–19 | Marina Center, 51 Marina Blvd. Young learners can explore language, culture, games, and creativity through immersive Spanish-language enrichment experiences.
Travel-Themed Camp Ages 7–10 1:00 PM – 2:30 PM $50 Practice Spanish through reading, writing, and role-play focused on: • Food & ordering • Money exchange • Transportation (bus, train, travel scenarios) Fun, interactive activities designed to build confidence using Spanish in real-life situations.
Cultural-Themed Camp Ages 7–10 3:00 PM – 4:30 PM $50 Explore Spanish-speaking countries through: • Spanish reading and writing • Cultural learning • Songs & movement • Art & crafts Hands-on experiences that celebrate language and culture in a fun, creative way.
Creative Innovation Workshops Intro to Fashion Design + AI June 24 | 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM Ages 7–10 | $50 Combine creativity and technology while learning the basics of fashion design through AI-powered activities.
Magic Kingdom Workshop July 8 | 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM Ages 7–10 | $50 Create. Imagine. Believe. Step into a world of imagination, creativity, and wonder at Sparkologie’s Once Upon a Summer: Disney Magic Camp, inspired by the storytelling, characters, and creativity we all love from Disney.
Intro to Toy Design + AI July 22 | 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM Ages 7–10 | $50 Young inventors will learn how toys are created while exploring innovative design concepts and AI technology.
Youth Sports Programs
MLS GO Soccer June 14 – August 23 Ages 6–14 | $150 Develop soccer skills, teamwork, and confidence while having fun on the field.
NFL Youth Flag Football June 13 – August 22 Ages 6–14 | $150 Learn the fundamentals of football in a safe, non-contact environment focused on sportsmanship and teamwork.
Green Footprint Movie Series Every Tuesday, June 16 – July 7 California Theatre, 351 Railroad Avenue FREE Event The City of Pittsburg and the California Theatre proudly present the Green Footprint Movie Series, combining entertainment with environmental education. Buchanan Swim Center Now Open! June 1 – July 30 Monday–Thursday | 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM 4150 Harbor Street Make a splash this summer at the Buchanan Swim Center.
